An event is not simply a happening. And a product is not just a thing sitting on a shelf. Events, workshops and products are potent communication instruments with which you can reach, illuminate or unite a group. A product (audio, video or goods) well packaged, can also be a milestone business.

Planning and executing a successful event or product launch is both a creative orchestration and one that involves precision in setting in to motion all of its steps, phrases and sequences.

A. Spark Curiosity
2 months before event -or- official product release: This is like a press release, and should be short and clear

The message: “you should know about this” / “This will do amazing things for you”

Create a buzz and Communicate that there is more info TBA.

B. Acknowledge Need / Insure Value
1 month before event -or- official release: This is your Sales Letter. This message is longer than the snippet above.

The message: “What would it mean for your life if you were to eliminate your fear of public speaking?”

Speak to the prospects’ fears, desires and needs.
Assure prospects of the value: what they will know and learn from your event/product.

A brand encapsulates your identity, instantly conveying your message. One generally wants to hold on to your brand’s look and feel as long as possible because it’s so familiar to you and your customer base. You don’t want to risk losing recognition or spend money needlessly. And sometimes brands need a refresh. Does your logo or tagline say enough about what you provide?

Know your targeted audiences as well as what defines you and makes you stand out among competitors, so clients come to YOU.

You can begin your process of creating or refreshing the essence, look and feel of your business with these 7 Branding Questions:

1. What is your business, service or product?

2. What are you offering your audiences?

Nuts & Bolts: What modalities do/will you use?
Experiential: What experiences do/will your clients have?

3. What are your business agendas/goals for

right now (3m-6m)
short term (6m-1yr)
long term (1-3yrs)
or more (5y & 10yr)

4. What is your business name and tagline? (i.e. What is the sentence or two that comes out of your mouth when someone asks you “So, what do you do?”) If you do not have these what are your ideas?

Is your business name clear?
Does your logo tagline [...]

“Finally!! A permanent solution in order to prevent Wordpress from filtering line breaks "<br>" from a post.

In spite of trying various methods such as putting line breaks "<br>" inside "<code>" tag and many other such HTML tricks (many of which can be easily found at Wordpress) just to be able to put multiple intentional line breaks in a post, wordpress would eventually manage to filter those line breaks. Even if the tricks were successfully applied, when it came to re-editing a post, all efforts would go to vain when TinyMCE initiates its own filtering process.

Wordpress has a built-in powerful post/text editor commonly known as the “Visual” editor, which uses the open source project named “TinyMCE“. When switching from Visual to HTML editor in Wordpress or vice-versa TinyMCE executes a back-end filtration process which removes empty tags, and <br> tags from the post.

Needless to say, it is very irritating when a author is forced to loose his/her creative ideas by forcing these kind of annoying and unnecessary filtration. Many has expressed their annoyance regarding this issue.

Most of the time I would just reverse engineer stuff that really bugs me, silently and without [...]

Last nights circle was really amazing for me; I got some really concrete things to implement in 2010 toward my vision of conscious partnership and conscious finances – Thank you for your listening and also for your sharing.

One thing that is precious to me about the women’s circles is that I get to become very good friends over time with women I would not have otherwise connected with, or in some cases never have met…I very much appreciate the way you all show up in circle, you commitment to transparency and each other’s growth.

This circle has changed all of our lives, and i wish the same for those of you who are newer to the group – that a year from now, you are unrecognizable in all of the most glorious of ways. i look forward to knowing you all as close friends.

Thank you.

Blessings,

I used Quickbooks professionally as an office manager and have also used it for years in managing my own personal and business money. After entering my account info for my various bank accounts, credit card companies, etc, Mint automatically downloads all of my transactions and categorizes them (which makes calculating deductions at tax time a breeze!)

Some of the most powerful tools for us entrepreneurs to have are feedback and testimonials.

For some of us hearing or reading what others are saying as praise about us is edgy and uncomfortable. We might even believe that asking a client to write a testimonial for us is arrogant or presumptuous.

These are bits of mind-chatter worthy of acknowledging and then ignoring.

Asking for testimonials may never get easier, and yet each time you will find yourself faced wth how much your clients and colleagues truly DO want to support you in continuing your work.

I guarantee it.

Testimonials serve us in at least two important ways.

Testimonials…

Provide evidence of credibility for potential clients. Seeing what others are saying about you in the form of Yelp Reviews for example of written or video testimonials for your practice, events or product are influencers for your potential clients.

Fortify your own value for your self and your practice/business and the good work that you are doing. the pervasive doubt and fear that rides the backs of all entrepreneurs is gently abated when we read and really take in the good news!
