10 ways to rockin’ Business Marketing Success. Part 1

I didn’t want to make you wait too long for the “Part 2″ of this article. I posted the first 5 Keys yesterday, and it just got too long! But I wanted you to get the tools…In any case, we learn better when ideas, even ideas we already know, are broken down into bite-sized peices. So here are the final 5:

  • Learn New Business Skills Often: Great practitioners, artists and healers fail if they have poor business and marketing skills. Get coaching or take a business or marketing class as often as you take continuing education classes. Most good entrepreneurship courses can be found in weekend formats and they are FUN!; usually filled with passionate small business owners like you. Sales/enrollment techniques, online marketing, presentation skills, bookkeeping, etc. Continue reading

10 ways to rockin’ Business Marketing Success. Part 2

Other than the importance of growing a business that you are passionate about, that you believe betters the world is in alignment with your core values - in the fullness of time I hope that your business is a reflection of your gifts, and therefore I hope that it lasts…

It is that 3 year mark you have probably heard of before. I see it time and time again, though your business may change and morph many time over the period of its first three years, it really does take 2-3 years or a business to become sustainable - that is, that you can count on how much money your business draws in each month – that number is mostly consistent and it is a number that is “in the black’ meaning you are not losing money, or better yet you are truly making your living from doing what you love! Yes!

Here are some widely agreed upon elements, plus some of my own staples that help to create and support a productive, passionate and sustainable business Continue reading

Fill your practice and Establish yourself as THE expert in your field

Q: “I am wondering if you, or someone you know has been successful doing yesterday and no one bit. I’m thinking I need the help of a professional writer who knows how to sell therapy in particular. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Therapist Annon.”

A: Hey “Therapist Annon.,

I had think about your email for a while – I have found that for very personal services like therapy, most people will not contact you based on your website copy alone – even if it is the best copy in the world. They will want to have a more personal experience of you, Continue reading

Harness your Fear. Grow your Business

Growing a business is more often than not, a dance with the unknown, and therefore with Fear. Grow your relationship with the Unknown…and to Fear
Jessica Hadari Fear Business
Fear is actually taking care of us. Part of an ancient mechanism for survival. Forging means, to use heat to bring the material to a malleable state. As we expand our businesses our cycles of fear and stretching into the unknown are the heat which forges us into stronger and more malleable beings

Let’s look at fear. Fear is omnipresent in the process of growth. Just as babies become more needy and in need of more attention the week before they start to walk – Fear is a part of our experience of  S T R E T C H I N G – cycles of stretch and then relax, stretch and relax – like the movement of the Earth’s crust, like the movement of breath flowing in, and breath flowing out – the experience of stretching is often synonymous with our experience of fear.

I think of fear in business as The Stretch between the the parts of ourselves that want to be more fully in the light and the parts of us that are working furiously to hide:

  • The stretch between The Shadow (which is always at work to bring isolated aspects of yourself into the light) always brings up newer, richer material for you to work through – your Soul’s life lessons.
  • And the Negative Ego (the idealized self – what we wish we could be) what we effort and strive for / against

So what to do with all of this? Continue reading

Desconsos Part 5: “be holy, be wild, be irreverent…”

dragonshighThe Value of experiencing my whore archetype. – not necessarily related to sex, but more around my value, my worth…

2008 was my year to get messy, to royally mess up, to be way out of integrity.

*Cup half full: It has been such a relief to stop MANAGING; Always adamant about getting complete, cleaning up, avoiding conflict, making nice.  – my friends have been begging for my bitch, my messiness, and more recently to let out Mamma Dragon – my rage, outside of the workshop setting (participating or leading)… Continue reading

Desconsos Part 4: As long as women play Dumb

The inquiry continues…

“Stupid…”

The Prove I’m Smart  & Playing Dumb mind-game.

“Stupid Idiot!” a name my mother yelled at me often growing up. (bless her heart) “Are you

stupid?”  my third grade teacher asked me, probably more of a statement than a question. Continue reading

Desconsos Part 3: Take a Chance…

“…one learns that we need not fear (these) initiations, these times of breaking apart. The soul cannot grow or change without them. What the human ego or the human body experience as traumas, the soul instantly recognizes as opportunities to shed what is no longer needed. When the heart is broken, the soul is released from its prior constellations. It begins the ancient process of dissolution, dismemberment, and new life. The soul rushes toward rebirth…”

Descansos Part 2: Weather or Not to be Bitter

“There is a time in our lives, usually midlife, when a woman has to make a decision – Possibly the most important psychic decision of her future life – about whether to be bitter or not…”
- Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D., Women Who Run with the Wolves

Whether to be bitter or not:

Until recently I had a Jessica-in-a-chokehold belief that I should never partner or become a parent ever again, due to my expression of anger and how it showed up in my marriage and in my parenting. Continue reading

Descansos Part 1: Marking the Small & Big Deaths

grief jessica hadari Descansos: Resting places. Symbols that mark a death…

A few weeks ago (around the same time a woman in my women’s circle was diagnosed with cancer) my women’s circle began the Descansos process, taken from the book Women Who Run with the Wolves. In this process I took the time (several weeks, in this case) to look at the time-line of my life birth to now and mark where the small deaths and big deaths have taken place; All of the moments in my life where I experienced impact;

Or loss;

Or where there was a fork in the road and I took one path, when I could have taken another;

Or where I experienced an event which changed the way I thought/believed about myself, the world, about men, about women… Continue reading
